About The Position

The Knight Cardiovascular Institute (KCVI) is a leading integrated center for cardiovascular clinical care, translational research, and professional training. We employ a multidisciplinary approach where researchers and clinicians drive a vibrant translational research program focused on improving patient outcomes through earlier diagnosis, more accurate monitoring, and tailored therapies based on the molecular basis of disease. This Critical Care Cardiologist position involves significant inpatient duties, including managing patients with chronic or acute heart disease and critically ill patients with primary cardiac disorders. You will also serve as an attending physician in various cardiology service areas (CVICU, CCU, and consult service) and perform cardiovascular procedures. To enhance patient access, the role includes a limited ambulatory clinic in general cardiology and support for non-invasive cardiovascular imaging (echocardiography). As a faculty member at OHSU, a teaching institution, you will be expected to mentor students, residents, fellows, and staff. Research opportunities in your area of focus may be available, with administrative support for grant submissions, financial management, and clinical trials. Administrative duties may also be assigned to support Institute or section initiatives and faculty development.
