About The Position

Seeking a General Cardiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Omaha, NE. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services across four facilities, operating under a supplemental coverage model. The coverage period is from October to December 2026, with a need for clinical and call coverage. The schedule includes weekday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, potentially including weekends, and call shifts from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM, not every night, covering all four sites. The call model is a hub and spoke system, with the academic medical center as the hub. Patient volume is low, with 5-8 patients at each campus. Support staff includes APP support for inpatient rounds on weekdays, but no APP support during call. Required procedures include General Cardiology, ECHO, and TEE. The EMR system used is Epic. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.

Requirements

• Active NE License or IMLC
• Board Certified (BC)
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Must disclose specific dates available for coverage between Oct-Dec 2026
• Understand that night call coverage is at all 4 sites

Responsibilities
