Crisis Therapist | 37 Days Off | Community Crisis Services
About The Position
This is an outpatient and community-based behavioral health role focused on emergency mental health and crisis intervention services. The Crisis Therapist will conduct crisis evaluations, intake assessments, and care coordination for clients across all age groups. The role involves collaborating with hospitals, community agencies, and interdisciplinary crisis teams to support continuity of care. It offers the opportunity to provide meaningful mental health support while maintaining autonomy in clinical decision-making within a stable community environment with strong behavioral health support systems in Emporia, Kansas.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology REQUIRED
- Active Kansas licensure as LMFT, LCMFT, LMLP, LCP, LP, LPC, LCPC, LMSW, or LSCSW REQUIRED
- Strong documentation and communication skills REQUIRED
- Comfortable working with clients across all age groups REQUIRED
- Team-based and community-focused clinical mindset REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- Crisis intervention and behavioral health assessment experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency behavioral health assessments
- Conduct intake evaluations and determine appropriate treatment recommendations
- Coordinate care with hospitals, law enforcement, schools, and community organizations
- Maintain timely EMR documentation and clinical records
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case collaboration
- Support clients experiencing acute behavioral health crises across multiple care settings
