About The Position

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Crisis Team Worker to provide prevention and intervention services. This role involves telephone, mobile outreach, and in-home support, as well as working in a short-term crisis residential setting with rotating shifts. The Crisis Team Worker will have regular contact with local hospitals, law enforcement, and other community professionals, and will assist in crisis safety planning, attend meetings, and provide written documentation of all crisis-related activity. This position requires frequent travel on an intermittent basis, to varying locations state-wide.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of education and/or progressively responsible experience applying knowledge and demonstrated skills and abilities in direct support and assistance of consumers with developmental disabilities, cognitive, mental health, and other co-occurring disorders.
  • Certification to administer medication (CRMA).
  • CPR certification.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Safety Care, or other department approved training in behavioral prevention/intervention techniques.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work 8-16 hour rotating shifts (at a minimum) and have rotating days off.
  • Ability to work overtime, which may at times be mandatory.

  • Related work experience.
