About The Position
The Crisis Intervention Specialist provides risk assessment, brief supportive counseling, referral to resources, and other identified supports to individuals and families experiencing a mental health crisis. Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience required
- Experience working with people of all ages in the mental health and/or substance use context
- The ability to complete a mental status exam and suicide assessment on individuals in distress and make appropriate referrals for services
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external providers
