About The Position

Network180 is seeking a Crisis Center Nurse Practitioner to join their multidisciplinary team. This role provides psychiatric evaluations and short-term medication management for patients presenting to the 24-hour Crisis Center, which includes a Brief Intervention Clinic and a Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). The Crisis Center is a 24/7 facility serving adults 18 years and older, offering assessment and unscheduled clinical services designed to prevent or resolve mental health or substance-related crises. Services can typically resolve within a few hours but may require up to seventy-two (72) hours of treatment, and can be voluntary or involuntary. The CSU aims to divert individuals from jail, emergency departments, and inpatient psychiatric hospital settings to an appropriate, least restrictive treatment setting. This position is per-diem, offering availability across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts based on departmental needs, and is located in-person at 260 Jefferson Ave SE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503.

Requirements

  • Licensed in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse with a NP Nurse Specialty Certification.
  • Ability to be paneled by all insurance carriers.
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Master’s Degree minimum) with an active, unencumbered license.
  • At least one year of experience as a practicing Registered Nurse providing psychiatry care.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
  • Ability to adhere to Network180 policies resulting from HIPAA privacy rules regarding individually identifiable health information concerning individuals served or employed by Network180 and credentialing.

Responsibilities

  • Provides psychiatric evaluations and short-term medication management for patients who present to the 24-hour Crisis Center.
  • Consults with a collaborative Psychiatrist.
  • Provides assessment and unscheduled clinical services designed to prevent or resolve mental health or substance-related crises.
  • Offers services to individuals whose crisis will typically resolve within a few hours, however, may require up to seventy-two (72) hours of treatment.
  • Provides services that can be voluntary or involuntary.
