About The Position

Savannah Technical College is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach in the Criminal Justice Technology program. Typical responsibilities include preparing and delivering lecture and/or lab course material in both face-to-face and hybrid formats, delivering engaging classroom instruction aligned with program standards and student learning outcomes, evaluating and recording students' progress in attaining goals and objectives, preparing and maintaining all required documentation and administrative reports, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of criminal justice procedures.

Requirements

  • Must possess a master's degree in criminal justice or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of qualifying fields or a related field
  • Three years' work experience in law enforcement within the past five years
  • Ability and willingness to work at multiple campus locations, as assigned
  • Excellent human-relations, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in law enforcement
  • Prior teaching experience (preferably in a post-secondary setting)
  • Experience with Blackboard and Banner
  • Familiarity with college accreditation standards
