About The Position

Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) is seeking a Criminal Justice Adjunct Instructor to teach a full complement of courses according to ACTS and the course catalog, including law enforcement, criminology, corrections, and contemporary issues. Courses will primarily be delivered face-to-face but will also include online options. The instructor will assist with recruiting and retention efforts, as well as campus and college activities, projects, and committees to further the mission of the college.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in law, criminal justice or closely related field preferred.
  • Experience and ability to conduct coursework online.
  • Ability to utilize course delivery platforms such as Blackboard.
  • Ability to conduct virtual/online labs.
  • Ability to integrate technology into instruction to meet the needs of students from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) or more years of teaching experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with Blackboard, Workday and Zoom/Teams.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
