About The Position

This is an adjunct position in the Arts and Humanities department within Academic Affairs at DCC. The role involves teaching assigned criminal justice courses and preparing course materials, holding office hours, grading, submitting grades, and completing required training.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Criminal Justice or Master's degree with a minimum of 18 credit hours of graduate-level Criminal Justice courses
  • Experience teaching in a higher education setting required.
  • High level of written and oral communications skills required.
  • Experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years teaching Criminal Justice or related field in a higher education setting.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching assigned course(s).
  • Preparing course materials.
  • Hold 30 minutes office hours per course.
  • Prepare and grade examinations.
  • Input grades in college systems.
  • Maintain and submit class records.
  • Complete all required/mandated employee training/professional development as applicable.
