Daemen University’s Criminal Justice Program is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach CRJ 400 Senior Research Project, with oversight from the Criminal Justice program co-directors to ensure compliance with departmental, curricular, and institutional requirements. The course is the required senior capstone for Criminal Justice majors and fulfills the college-wide Research & Presentation, Information Literacy, and Writing Intensive requirements. Students complete a 15–20-page research project appropriate to their degree and Criminal Justice track. They identify and explain the relevance of a research topic and its guiding questions, locate and integrate academically appropriate sources, and document those sources in a bibliography using APA or Chicago Manual of Style, as determined with the instructor. Students present their completed projects orally to classmates and faculty, explain the project’s subject and purpose, and answer questions. They submit research materials periodically during the semester and, at the end of the course, turn in the final project, full bibliography, and copies of research materials and notes.
