Nashua Community College is seeking qualified adjunct instructors for its Criminal Justice Program to teach courses on a course-by-course basis. Appointments are temporary and limited to a specified contract period. The current need is for instructors to teach face-to-face courses on campus during daytime hours. Candidates must have a strong academic background, a master’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field, and three years of practical experience in the Criminal Justice field. Salary is $850–$1,000 per contact hour, determined by the appointed adjunct faculty rank based on education and industry and/or teaching experience. Offers of employment are contingent on successfully completing the required background check. Employees must reside in a New England state: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island. Applicants must submit an online application, cover letter, resume or Curriculum Vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, and a copy of official or unofficial transcripts. The cover letter should identify courses the applicant is qualified to teach and courses previously taught, if applicable. Resumes are not accepted in place of a completed employment application, and Employment History Sections that state “see resume” will not be accepted. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis until needs are met and may be retained for future openings.
