Nashua Community College is seeking qualified individuals for adjunct teaching on a course-by-course basis in its Mathematics Department. The current need is for General Mathematics instructors for evening courses, with on-campus instruction only. Adjunct appointments are temporary and cover a specified contract period; instruction may be in a classroom or online depending on the course, though this General Mathematics course is on campus only. The salary range is $850–$1,000 per contact hour. The rate depends on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience. Applicants must reside in a New England state: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island. Applicants must submit an online application, cover letter, resume or curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, and official or unofficial transcripts. The cover letter should list courses previously taught, if applicable, and courses the applicant is qualified to teach. Resumes are not accepted in place of a completed employment application, and employment history sections stating “see resume” will not be accepted. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until needs are met and may be retained for future openings. Employment offers are contingent on successful completion of the required background check.
