About The Position

NHTI is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach in NHTI�s Criminal Justice program. NHTI's Criminal Justice degree program teaches students field basics and the rules of criminal procedure and criminal law. Students learn about specialty fields from juvenile justice to corrections operations to police-community relations in justice and the community and will be taught by professionals who have spent time as practitioners in the field. The specific courses to be taught are CRMJ 270C: Internship and CRMJ 275C: Senior Project. The Internship course offers students the opportunity to apply learned theory to practical application, requiring them to seek agency placement with instructor assistance, complete a minimum number of hours, maintain a log, and submit a final analytical report. The Senior Project course involves students developing a pre-approved topic through ongoing instructor contact, with acceptable research categories including empirical studies, surveys, and literature reviews, with the final grade based on the final product and adherence to guidelines.

Requirements

• Master�s degree in a related field
• Residency: Must reside in NH, VT, ME, MA, RI, or CT.

• Familiarity with Canvas (or similar LMS)

• Facilitate class discussions, assignments, and assessments to foster student engagement and learning.
