About The Position

The Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for Criminal Justice. This position involves teaching a full complement of courses in law enforcement, criminology, corrections, and contemporary issues. Courses will be delivered primarily face-to-face, with online options available. The instructor will also assist with recruiting and retention efforts, as well as campus and college activities, projects, and committees to support the college's mission.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in law, criminal justice or closely related field preferred.
• Experience and ability to conduct coursework online.
• Experience utilizing course delivery platforms such as Blackboard.
• Ability to conduct virtual/online labs.
• Ability to integrate technology into instruction to meet the needs of students from a variety of backgrounds.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Three (3) or more years of teaching experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
• Experience with Blackboard, Workday and Zoom/Teams a plus.
• Ability to work in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Teach full compliment of courses according to ACTS and course catalog, including but not limited to law enforcement, criminology, corrections and contemporary issues.
• Deliver courses primarily face-to-face, but also include online options.
• Assist with recruiting and retention efforts.
• Participate in campus and college activities/projects/committees to further the mission of the college.
