About The Position

The Crewperson assists the drill pipe inspection crew with preparing pipe for inspection, supporting the inspection process, and completing post-inspection work. The role includes handling and rolling pipe, buffing pipe surfaces and threaded connections, operating drill pipe jacks, marking pipe with identification bands, applying thread lubricant, replacing thread protectors, and assisting with refacing.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role or relevant industry is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of coating and inspection techniques is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist the drill pipe inspection crew in preparing pipe for inspection, during inspection, and after inspection.
• Roll pipe.
• Buff pipe outside diameters (ODs).
• Clean and buff threaded connections.
• Operate drill pipe jacks.
• Paint pipe with identification bands.
• Apply thread lubricant to passing connections and reapply thread protectors.
• Assist in the refacing process.
