About The Position

This position will be in-person at our new satellite location inside Meijer Independence Market. The role involves preparing a variety of coffee beverages, as well as preparing and reselling various hot and cold beverages, including bottled and canned drinks. The position also includes selling prepared foods such as pastries, oats, and breakfast sandwiches. This role requires significant customer interaction and excellent customer service skills, with an emphasis on maintaining a positive attitude to ensure customer retention.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED graduate preferred
3 months or more of Barista experience preferred
Ability to handle stress under pressure
Ability to provide quality customer service
Ability to learn and use technical equipment (e.g. espresso machine)
Ability to accurately exchange currency with the customers
Ability to reconcile all cash and currency
Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment
Ability to learn and use company computer to input data
Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Prepare hot and cold beverages
Prepares foods for sale as needed
Accurately handles cash and reconciles change due to customers
Opens and/or closes the coffeehouse as scheduled
Maintains cleanliness in coffeehouse and service areas at all times
Delivers quality customer service at all times
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of coffeehouse products as well as restaurant menu and general restaurant information (hours of service, specials, procedures, etc.)
