About The Position

Beach Cities Cinema is looking for friendly and helpful crew members to create a welcoming environment for customers. These positions include Box Office Cashier, Concessions/Kitchen staff, and Ushers. The company offers perks such as free movies for employees and their families, and flexible hours. Staff will be trained in all functions to better serve the customer.

Requirements

Available to work theater hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Regular and consistent attendance.
Ability to communicate with all ages, genders, and personalities.
Ability to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend in English.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move quickly for sales rush before the start of a movie.
Ability to occasionally lift and clean popcorn kettles, warmers, butter machines, hot dog and other food preparation and drink equipment.
Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
Accurate cash handling and math skills.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be at least 21 years of age (for alcohol service).
Must complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program and meet the age requirement for alcohol service.
Must obtain Food Handler's certification.
Must complete a required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
Verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers with a positive attitude.
Sell tickets and communicate reserved seating, show times, and theater location.
Suggest a wide variety of concessions offerings, prepare food and drinks, and ring up sales.
Clean theaters at the end of each showing, sweep aisles, wipe tables, and pick up trash throughout the theater.
Restock and tidy facilities.
Perform duties in Concession, Box office, and Usher areas.
Handle payment transactions and make change.
Watch for safety or security issues.
Perform each duty as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
