About The Position

Cross Creek Nursery & Landscaping is seeking a motivated, hands-on landscaping technician who has existing skills and wants to develop into a leadership role. The Crew Leader in Training works as the Crew Leader’s right hand, operates advanced equipment, helps mentor newer teammates, and builds the skills needed to advance to Crew Leader. The role has a Monday–Thursday work week, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.

Requirements

Have a clean and valid driver’s license.
Demonstrate strong character and professionalism.
To move to the Crew Lead position: communicate professionally with customers; safely operate machines, trucks, and trailers; complete required documentation such as Job Cost; troubleshoot problems independently; and carry out day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

Operate standard landscaping equipment, including trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, mowers, edgers, and a mini skid steer or similar machinery.
Perform advanced tasks independently, maintaining high quality and an efficient pace.
Assist in training or guiding Crew Members.
Help maintain equipment condition and organization.
Read and follow job sheets or simple work orders.
Identify jobsite issues and proactively suggest solutions.
Demonstrate professionalism and integrity with colleagues and clients, and contribute positively to a respectful, collaborative work environment.
