About The Position

Cross Creek Nursery & Landscaping is hiring a hands-on landscaping technician to support the Crew Leader and develop the skills needed to advance to Crew Leader. The role combines skilled landscaping work, advanced equipment operation, guidance of newer teammates, and day-to-day support for crew efficiency. The position works Monday through Thursday, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off, and is described as year-round employment. Compensation is $18–$22 per hour.

Requirements

Clean and valid driver's license.
Ability to communicate professionally with customers.
Ability to operate machines, trucks, and trailers safely.
Ability to complete required documentation, including Job Cost.
Ability to troubleshoot problems independently.
Ability to carry out day-to-day operations.
Strong character and professionalism, with integrity, courtesy, and a collaborative approach.
Strong consistency in speed and quality, with work requiring minimal correction.

Nice To Haves

Readiness and potential to advance to Crew Leader.
Experience operating landscaping equipment and performing advanced landscaping tasks.
Ability to mentor teammates and support crew leadership and productivity.

Responsibilities

Operate standard landscaping equipment, including trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, mowers, edgers, and a mini skid steer or similar machinery.
Perform advanced landscaping tasks independently, maintaining high quality and an efficient pace.
Assist with training or guiding Crew Members.
Help maintain equipment condition and organization.
Read and follow job sheets or simple work orders.
Identify jobsite issues and proactively suggest solutions.
Demonstrate professionalism and respectful conduct with colleagues and clients.
Support crew efficiency and mentor basic-level teammates.
Work safely with equipment and independently resolve small problems before escalating them to the Crew Leader.
