Requirements

  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for the majority of shift.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry loads of up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.
  • Must be able to work with hands/arms extended overhead.
  • Must be able to work in industrial environment with elevated noise levels, dust, dirt, humidity and temperature variations.
  • Must have a minimum reach of 78 inches
  • Must be able to work well under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to comply with all plant policies.
  • Must be able to perform tasks quickly and safely.
  • Must be able to meet departmental work standards in the areas of hanging, splicing, and stripping.

Responsibilities

  • Hang new lot numbers on each creel.
  • Strip, cut back and double or spot double creels.
  • Air splice or tie packages of yarn together.
  • Cap bad tubes when necessary.
  • Blow back yarn when necessary.
  • Properly complete R.T.I. labels.
  • Construct boxes for yarn.
  • Maintain recyclable material (cardboard, plastic, paper, etc.).
  • General housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist floor supervisors as needed with any additional duties.
