About The Position

This is a support role for Loan Officers, focusing on serving the financial needs of Ag and Commercial customers. The Credit Analyst is responsible for preparing credit analysis and write-ups, analyzing financial information to evaluate loan risks, and ensuring compliance with Credit Policies, Procedures, and State and Federal Regulations. The role requires accurate analysis of credit information and careful maintenance of loan presentations.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Applicable experience and/or related certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 2 years' experience in related field.
  • Excellent credit/financial analytical skills.
  • Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description.
  • Knowledge of banking terminology and procedures.
  • Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.
  • Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.

Responsibilities

  • Use Moody's Analytics Software to review, assess, and provide a third party perspective of analysis to determine the overall credit worthiness of Agriculture and Commercial credits.
  • Input financial information, perform comparative analysis with previous financials, spread and analyze cash flows, analyze trends, assess and validate collateral, and calculate credit risk rating.
  • Prepare written documentation of analysis and trend observations in the bank required format.
  • Clearly communicate credit analysis outcomes both verbally and in writing.
  • Work with Lending Personnel to ensure accurate and timely completion of all credit documentation.
  • Stay abreast of current industry, economic, and agricultural conditions to incorporate that information into loan presentations.
  • Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.
  • Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.
  • Attend and actively participate in organization, job-specific training offered, and Quality Service programs.
  • Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization.
  • Community involvement is strongly encouraged.
  • Other duties as assigned.
