About The Position

This position will have the responsibility for spreading financial statements and providing credit analysis for agricultural and commercial loans. Assist bankers with loan opportunities for new and existing customer and helping the bank to maintain / improve Credit Quality. Provides analytical services in the administration of loan accounts. When needed and in conjunction with loan officer(s), will communicate with current and potential customers to obtain information needed for loan requests.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of vocational or higher education preferred in Finance, Accounting or related field, or the equivalent of 2-4 years of work experience in credit-related area combined with educational experience.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong PC skills (Lending Cloud, Credit Quest, WORD, and EXCEL) and ability to learn new software programs.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Work with minimal supervision and in a team environment with tight deadlines.
  • Must be available and willing to travel to offsite locations when necessary, to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate entry of financial information (financial statements and tax returns) into programs such as; Credit Quest, Lending Cloud, WORD, and EXCEL.
  • Analyze and interpret financial statements including projections for business and agricultural loans.
  • Independent financial analysis to included analysis of trends, ratios, cash flow, industry averages and stress testing. This includes working with the loan officer and possibly the customer when necessary, to obtain information.
  • Verify perfection of collateral documents while reviewing the financial condition of borrower. This includes making recommendations as to what documentation is required for new loan requests.
  • Prepare written credit write-ups based on information uncovered in financial/collateral analysis; review of internal loan accounting systems; and provide written support for the recommended risk rating of each borrower.
  • Working knowledge of Loan Policy and ability to identify policy exceptions in credits, ensuring exceptions and mitigates are noted and presentations obtain proper lending approval.
  • Review loans for covenant compliance.
  • Assist in preparation of loan portfolio reports as requested.
  • Attend loan committee meetings to answer any questions regarding the analysis of the loan.
