About The Position

The Credit Analyst works with Commercial Lenders and Business Bankers to serve commercial clients, manage existing commercial relationships, and develop new ones. As a key member of the Commercial Lending Team, the analyst helps move loan requests through the approval process by assessing borrower creditworthiness, preparing financial analyses, and supporting lenders with credit monitoring and review.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• Knowledge and experience in banking, financial analysis, or a related field.
• Working understanding of accounting concepts and their application to businesses.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of financial analysis or banking experience.
• Confidence and competency in oral and written presentation.
• Ability to learn quickly and self-direct important tasks with little to no direction.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial reports, business plans, projections, and industry reports to assess customer and prospect creditworthiness.
• Prepare written narratives describing borrowers’ current financial condition and future outlook.
• Assist lenders with daily credit monitoring tasks and monthly credit reviews.
• Review covenant compliance for commercial borrowers.
• Complete annual reviews on borrowing customers and review ACH/ETL limits.
• Review credit proposals for loan committee for accuracy and continuing education.
• Participate in credit training opportunities.
• Accompany lenders on customer and prospect visits to improve credit analysis understanding and learn business development techniques.
