About The Position

Bank Five Nine is hiring an entry-level Credit Analyst 1 to analyze the financial health of businesses applying for commercial credit and help maintain the quality of the commercial loan portfolio. The role focuses on less complex loans and renewals and is intended to provide an opportunity to learn and launch a finance career.

The position is onsite in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. The analyst reviews financial information, prepares loan presentations, assesses risk, and works with Commercial Lenders to gather customer information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting and/or finance concepts.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Basic keyboarding skills and ability to navigate in a Windows environment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in banking.
• At least 6 months of experience working with commercial credit or lending.
• At least 6 months of experience working with SBA credit or lending.

Responsibilities

• Analyze credit data and financial statements for new and existing commercial loan customers to assess the risk of extending credit or lending money.
• Prepare thorough, objective, and accurate loan presentations that illustrate credit risk and assign appropriate risk ratings.
• Analyze requests for changes to collateral on existing loans.
• Work closely with Commercial Lenders to gather relevant customer information for analysis.
