This position is responsible for leading, coordinating, and maintaining all aspects of credentialing activities in accordance with required time frames. This includes initial applications, reappointments, allied health professionals, locum tenens, and temporary privileges. The role may also involve maintaining the privilege delineation system and the medical staff database, assisting with the OPPE report process, and managing the day-to-day operations of the credentialing department. Responsibilities include managing work assignments, performing routine audits for compliance, handling special credentialing projects, training employees, and assisting with standard work processes. The Lead will serve as the point of contact for credentialing questions and escalate issues to the manager as needed.
