About The Position
The IMA Group is seeking a Credentialed Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) to conduct assessments and connect clients to treatment in partnership with the Orange County Department of Social Services. This role will support both our Newburgh and Middletown, NY locations, with travel between the two sites as needed. You'll work in a structured, supportive clinical environment with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, no nights, no weekends, and no on-call.
Requirements
- Active CASAC credential (required)
- 1–4 years of relevant experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel between the Newburgh and Middletown locations
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct timely substance use disorder assessments referred by the County DSS
- Recommend and facilitate appropriate SUD treatment referrals
- Monitor client participation in OASAS programs
- Maintain accurate records and obtain treatment consents
- Collaborate with community providers, SAAM team members, and county agencies
- Stay current on local OASAS resources and community-based treatment services
