About The Position

The IMA Group is hiring a full-time Credentialed Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) for our Binghamton office. In this role, you'll be the person who meets clients at a turning point — assessing their needs, connecting them to the right OASAS program, and following through to make sure they don't fall through the cracks. This position offers focused, meaningful work with a supportive team, without the burden of carrying a caseload home, on-call rotations, or billing pressure.

Requirements

• Active CASAC credential in New York State, with continuing education per OASAS requirements
• One to four years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete timely substance use disorder assessments scheduled through the Broome County Department of Social Services
• Recommend treatment and make referrals matched to each client's circumstances
• Track client engagement in OASAS programs and keep documentation current
• Use knowledge of local providers and community resources to move referrals quickly
• Secure consents and confirm placements
• Build strong working relationships with the SAAM team, DSS staff, and area OASAS providers
