Paid Creative Ops Manager

WhatnotLos Angeles, CA
$140,000 - $155,000Hybrid

About The Position

Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe. As a remote co-located team, we're inspired by our values and anchored in hubs across the US, UK, Ireland, Poland, Germany, and Australia. We move fast, stay close to our users, and focus on the work that drives the most impact. We're one of the fastest growing marketplaces and were recently named the #1 Best Startup Employer in America by Forbes. You’ll join the Marketing Strategy & Operations team and own the operational layer behind Whatnot’s paid creative engine: the workflows, reporting, tooling, automation, and vendor infrastructure that let us produce and ship performant paid creative at volume across markets without losing brand fit or signal. You’ll audit what exists, build a clear point of view on what needs to change, and improve the system end-to-end as paid scales globally. We offer flexibility to work from home or from one of our global office hubs, and we value in-person time for planning, problem-solving, and connection. Team members in this role must live within commuting distance of our SF / LA / NYC hubs, with LA & NYC preferred.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience across consulting, creative operations, or strategy and operations at a high-growth consumer company.
  • A track record of building or rebuilding a system that scaled (e.g., tagging taxonomy, asset workflow, creative testing framework, automation pipeline, reporting system).
  • Strong analytical judgment, comfortable working with performance data directly (SQL, BI tools, spreadsheets, ad platforms, creative analytics tools).
  • Understanding of paid marketing metrics like CAC, ROAS, LTV, PBP, incrementality, and creative fatigue, and ability to design measurement frameworks.
  • Strong project management instincts, experience running complex cross-functional initiatives across technical and business teams.
  • Clear written communication skills, ability to create concise recommendations.
  • Operational instincts at scale, experience in environments with rapid growth in spend, creative volume, or market complexity.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems.
  • Bias toward speed and iteration, knowing when a scrappy system is sufficient.
  • Must live within commuting distance of SF / LA / NYC hubs, with LA & NYC preferred.
