About The Position

Tenable is seeking a Creative eLearning Developer to design and build interactive training services, offering collateral and enablement content for the Services Portfolio. This role combines multimedia/video design, graphic design, and technical writing to transform technical subjects into polished, field-ready courses, videos, and collateral for various platforms. Unlike a standard eLearning Developer, this role involves creating graphic and multimedia assets, authoring interactive modules, and writing accompanying content. The developer will also manage supporting team processes and work with minimal supervision, reporting status to leadership regularly.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of eLearning development, multimedia, or graphic/video design experience in a professional setting.
  • Comfortable writing and maintaining technical/course documentation, scripts, and captions for course and video deliverables.
  • Familiarity with the full product delivery life cycle: requirements analysis, design, testing, implementation.
  • B.A./B.S. in graphic design, instructional design, educational technology, or a related field, or comparable experience.
  • Proficiency with Articulate Storyline and/or Rise 360 (or Adobe Captivate), plus Adobe Creative Cloud and Camtasia.
  • Strong presentation design skills (PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote).
  • Experience building or maintaining a brand guideline system (logo, typography, color, iconography) at an organizational level.
  • Working knowledge of SCORM/xAPI packaging and LMS publishing; awareness of accessibility standards such as Section 508.
  • Working knowledge of Instructional Design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE).
  • Experience or knowledge of Tenable products; familiarity with network architecture and Tenable cybersecurity practices for enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong initiative and the ability to work remotely, both self-directed and as part of a geographically distributed team.
  • Ability to work remotely in a self-directed manner.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build interactive training services, collateral, and enablement content.
  • Create graphic and multimedia assets, including 2-D/3-D graphics, video animation, and course visuals.
  • Author interactive modules using tools like Articulate Storyline or Rise 360.
  • Write scripts, captions, and course copy.
  • Manage supporting team processes such as video mastering, templates, or SCORM packaging standards.
  • Translate storyboards into technical infographics and animated sequences.
  • Create, maintain, and utilize templates for presentations, documents, and animations.
  • Contribute to creating style guides for deliverables, ensuring visual and written consistency.
  • Design presentation layouts and visual assets.
  • Support the Senior Manager, Services Portfolio Production, in executing corporate brand style overhauls.
  • Act as a direct creative design point of contact for leadership, turning around presentations, graphics, and collateral on request.
  • Maintain and enforce brand standards across all portfolio deliverables.
  • Write and edit scripts, voiceover text, captions, and on-screen callouts.
  • Maintain technical and course documentation.
  • Evaluate existing visual and written content and recommend improvements.
  • Build interactive learning modules, including branching scenarios, quizzes, and simulations.
  • Package courses to SCORM/xAPI standards and publish to the LMS.
  • Apply accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508) to eLearning content.
  • Meet with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop design plans.
  • Perform edits based on feedback from Solution Architects, peers, and leadership.
  • Create deliverables within time constraints to meet project deadlines.
  • Mentor and develop less experienced designers, sharing craft and process knowledge.
