About The Position

Join Cavalier Distributing as a Craft Beverage Sales Representative supporting the west side of Cleveland. This outside sales position involves working independently in your assigned territory for 40 hours per week to achieve sales goals. You will be responsible for the successful sales, distribution, and placement of Cavalier's diverse product portfolio across new and existing retail accounts. This role offers the opportunity to own your territory, build relationships, and directly control your earnings, with compensation heavily weighted towards performance-based commission.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of the craft beer and beverage industry.
  • Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
  • Valid, unexpired driver’s license and a clean DMV record.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to apply for and obtain a solicitor’s license with the state.
  • Ability to handle product generally weighing 0 - 165 pounds, including bending and stooping as needed for product rotation and merchandising.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts.
  • Proactively develop new business and foster strong, long-lasting relationships with customers.
  • Regularly visit accounts and become a trusted authority on craft beverages.
  • Sell and expand product lines, ensuring successful placement and maintenance of Cavalier products.
  • Host beer tastings, dinners, and promotions to drive enthusiasm and sales.
  • Handle all aspects of the sales cycle, including preparing quotes, executing monthly goals, ensuring excellent customer service, and timely collections.
  • Assist with seasonal product displays and store resets.
  • Represent Cavalier at special events and festivals (occasional evenings/weekends required).
