The primary responsibility of each Instructor is to conduct in person American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Saving (BLS) and Heartsaver CPR AED/First Aid trainings. Instructors are expected to ensure that each student has a productive and meaningful experience.

Requirements

CPR Certification (Required)
Valid PA Driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle (Required)

Nice To Haves

AHA CPR Instructor Certification (Preferred)
Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
Healthcare Experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Conduct First Aid and CPR training classes for individuals and group
Follow established AHA lesson plans and instructional materials for courses
Provide clear and concise explanations of CPR & First Aid techniques and procedures
Demonstrate proper techniques for administering life saving skills
Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage participants and facilitate learning
Create a positive and supportive learning environment
Assess participant performance and provide feedback for improvement
Stay up-to-date with current guidelines and practices
Maintain responsibility for instruction and classroom management
Track attendance and report each training session to the Regional Coordinator and/or Director in a timely manner
Maintain reliable access to a computer with reliable internet access; maintain reliable access to a printer
Create a positive and supportive learning environment
Adhere to organizational code of conduct and ethics
