About The Position
The Instructor teaches vocational training subjects to students, primarily focusing on AHA Provider Level CPR programs. This is a PRN/Pool position with a variable schedule, primarily during the day shift. The role involves organizing and delivering practical and technical instruction, including lectures on theory, techniques, and terminology. Instructors will teach subjects related to the trade, plan and supervise student work, test and evaluate student achievement, and assist with job placement.
Requirements
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of EMS or Allied Health Experience
- Bilingual - English/Spanish Required
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Willingness to travel off site for educational presentations 20% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Organizes program of practical and technical instruction, including demonstrations of skills required in trade, and lectures on theory, techniques, and terminology.
- Instructs students in subject areas such as mathematics, science, drawing, use and maintenance of tools and equipment, codes or regulations related to trade, and safety precautions.
- Plans and supervises work of students, individually or in small groups, in shop or laboratory.
- Tests and evaluates achievement of student in technical knowledge and trade skills.
- Places students in job training.
