About The Position

Meijer is hiring an entry-level Courtesy Lot Attendant to support store services and provide above-and-beyond customer service. The role includes a variety of retail tasks and interaction with customers. Days are flexible, but team members must be available to be scheduled on the store’s three busiest sales days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Hiring pay is up to $14.50 per hour; starting pay depends on experience and the Union Pay Scale. The job profile is not all-inclusive, and the attendant may perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
Strong listening and communication skills.
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using various equipment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Availability to be scheduled on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow-removal equipment to remove snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work with the service desk, store entrance, checkout lanes, and parking lot areas.
Work with the Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
