About The Position

As an entry-level team member at Meijer, the Courtesy Clerk gains exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to store services, products, and customer service. Courtesy Team Members interact with customers and provide service that goes above and beyond. The role involves supporting the store entrance, service desk, checkout lanes, parking lot, and multiple departments. The job profile is not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

Be highly organized and have a keen sense for details.
Have strong listening and communication skills.
Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
Be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow-removal equipment to remove snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work in the service desk, store entrance, checkout lanes, and parking lot areas.
Work with the Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
