About The Position

As an entry-level team member at Meijer, the Courtesy Clerk performs a variety of retail tasks connected with store services, products, and customer service. Courtesy Team Members interact with customers and provide service that goes above and beyond. The role works across the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, parking lot, and multiple store departments. Evening and weekend availability is noted in the job title.

Requirements

Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
Great listening and communication skills.
Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using various equipment.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
