Court Reporter / Stenographer - Contractor Position

eScribers is a leading provider of reporting and transcription services for courts and government agencies in the US and UK & Ireland. As a private equity-backed company, they are rapidly growing and at the forefront of technology innovations in the court reporting market. They are currently seeking stenographic court reporters to join their team, with a focus on in-person hearings in Albany, NYC, and surrounding areas. The ideal candidates should have relevant training or experience in steno reporting, be legally eligible to work in the US, and demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to meeting deadlines. Compensation is on a per-project/assignment basis, and contractors must have a reliable mode of transportation and a current US bank account.

• Attend hearings in Albany, NYC, and surrounding areas for court reporting
• Ability to work remotely
• Successful completion of an accredited court reporting program or 2+ years of steno experience
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism
• Meet all deadlines
• Have a high-speed internet connection

• Have a current U.S. bank account to receive contract payments

• Compensation on a per-project/assignment basis
• Daily appearance fee
• Transcription fees
• Travel expenses reimbursed, if necessary
• Weekly pay via direct deposit
• Estimated annual compensation between $50,000 and $80,000 based on availability, location, and level of certification
• Onboarding process with completion of required paperwork and familiarization with workflow system
• Priority for work given to applicants with excellent quality standards in assignment submission
