About The Position

The Trial Court Accounting Division of the Anchorage Trial Court is accepting applications for Court Case Manager 1 (salary range 10). This position provides customer service by responding to a wide variety of inquiries from the public, in person and by telephone, regarding Alaska Statutes and Rules of Court while ensuring legal advice is not provided. The incumbent is cross-trained to perform duties across multiple court divisions, assists with workload backlogs, and provides support to other departments as needed to ensure efficient court operations.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate
• One year of office clerical experience
• Ability to operate a 10-key calculator by touch
• Working knowledge of Windows
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
• Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, and formulas

Responsibilities

• Receiving and processing new civil, domestic, small claims, and appellate case filings
• Reviewing and entering documents into the CourtView case management system
• Prioritizing and routing case files
• Closing cases when appropriate
• Preparing judgments
• Issuing writs of execution and garnishment
• Receipting and disbursing funds in accordance with court and banking rules
• Processing cash bail and bonds
• Researching case records
• Preparing daily bank deposits when assigned
• Maintaining accurate case documentation
• Assisting with workload backlogs
• Providing support to other departments as needed
