Using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, this role involves assessing client needs, connecting them with services, providing intake, assessment, assistance with DVPO paperwork, case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, court education, information, and referrals. The position also offers courtroom support, accompaniment, and outreach to survivors, facilitates support groups, and maintains confidential client records in agency databases. Responsibilities include grant reporting, adherence to documentation procedures, and translation of documents when applicable. The role also involves increasing awareness of victimization and resources through public speaking and media, participating in community meetings, and promoting professional relationships. Continuous professional development is expected through staying informed of best practices and attending training to maintain skills and knowledge.
