About The Position

This position is for a Course Lecturer for EPIB 507, Biostatistics for Health Sciences, a 3-credit course offered in Fall 2026. The course covers basic principles of statistical inference applicable to clinical, epidemiologic, and other health research. Topics include methods of describing data, statistical inference for means and proportions, non-parametric statistics, correlation, and an introduction to linear regression. The course will be held at EDUC, 211 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:05pm to 2:25pm. McGill University is an English-language institution requiring English communication skills. Requirements

  • PhD student in biostatistics or in statistics.
  • Successful completion of PhD comprehensive examination.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based.
  • Proficient in English communication, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Teach EPIB 507 Biostatistics for Health Sciences (3 credits) in Fall 2026.
  • Cover topics including methods of describing data, statistical inference for means and proportions, non-parametric statistics, correlation, and introduction to linear regression.
