About The Position

This position is for a Course Lecturer for GPHL 302: Knowledge Translation (3 credits) in Fall 2026. The course will cover key knowledge translation concepts, principles, and practice as they apply to the formulation of policies and programs serving disadvantaged populations in resource-constrained settings. It involves interdisciplinary sharing and critical appraisal and application of existing knowledge to the development of global and public health policies, program content, and its delivery. The location is MC2001, 1201, and the schedule is Wednesday, 14:30-17:30.

Requirements

  • PhD in global health/health systems
  • Interdisciplinary background, bridging different knowledge systems
  • Teaching experience exploring factors beyond purely evidence that shape health policy and global health
  • Expertise in bridging gaps between public health evidence and policy/practice
  • Understanding of different knowledge systems beyond western, biomedical ones
  • Authorized to work in Canada
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based/located
  • English communication skills (verbal and written)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience beyond academia a plus (civil society, multilateral organizations)
