Requirements

A four-year Honours B.A., or equivalent, in Labour with a minimum 75% average in Labour courses.
Evidence of successful previous university-level teaching assistant experience or equivalent.
Demonstrated strong organizational and effective communication skills.
Ability to respond quickly and clearly to student inquiries.
Ability to coordinate activities of teaching assistants.
Ability to manage course materials and grading in Brightspace.
Ability to work well with the course instructor.
Ability to meet appropriate deadlines.

Responsibilities

Overseeing the seminar/tutorial/lab sections for a particular course.
Coordinating Teaching Assistants/Lab Demonstrators/Marker-Graders and holding meetings with them.
Assisting in the preparation of marking schemes and coordinating the marking of course assignments and/or midterm, progress and final exams.
Performing any other related duties as may be required by the course instructor.
