About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Course Coordinator for the Introduction to the Canadian Labour Movement course (LABR 1P95) for the Winter D3 term. Requirements

  • A four-year Honours B.A., or equivalent, in Labour with a minimum 75% average in Labour courses.
  • Evidence of successful previous university-level teaching assistant experience or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to respond quickly and clearly to student inquiries.
  • Ability to coordinate activities of teaching assistants.
  • Ability to manage course materials and grading in Brightspace.
  • Ability to work well with the course instructor.
  • Ability to meet appropriate deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the seminar/tutorial/lab sections for a particular course.
  • Coordinating Teaching Assistants/Lab Demonstrators/Marker-Graders and holding meetings with them.
  • Assisting in the preparation of marking schemes and coordinating the marking of course assignments and/or midterm, progress and final exams.
  • Performing any other related duties as may be required by the course instructor.
