About The Position

Requirements
- PhD in Biological Sciences or related discipline.
- Experience in teaching quantitative research methods.
- Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Biological Sciences
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
- Applicants must not exceed the maximum number of regular hours allowable in a work week under the Employment Standards Act, as amended from time to time, when combined with all other appointments at the University. Applicants in excess of workload limits will not be considered unless prior written approval is obtained.

- Senior doctoral candidates will be considered if there are no qualified PhD applicants.
Responsibilities
- Scheduled contact time with students
- Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration
- Handling grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
- Responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course if employed in a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent.
