About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Course Coordinator for LABR 1P94 Fall D2. This position reports to the Department Chair or Course Instructor and is governed by Article 22 of the Collective Agreement. The Course Coordinator will oversee seminar/tutorial/lab sections, coordinate Teaching Assistants/Lab Demonstrators/Marker-Graders, assist in preparing marking schemes, coordinate the marking of assignments and exams, and perform other related duties as required by the course instructor. Requirements
- Broad experience in LABR
- Previous experience in demonstrating laboratories
- Previous experience supervising other demonstrators
- A LABR DEGREE
- Leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to assign duties to demonstrators
- Ability to troubleshoot in the laboratory setting
- Ability to detect potential hazards
- Ability and skills to rapidly and appropriately deal with problems as they occur
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the seminar/tutorial/lab sections for a particular course
- Coordinating Teaching Assistants/Lab Demonstrators/Marker-Graders and holding meetings with them
- Assisting in the preparation of marking schemes
- Coordinating the marking of course assignments and/or midterm, progress and final exams
- Performing any other related duties as may be required by the course instructor
