About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Course Coordinator for COSC 1P50 - Fall D2. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group and involves responsibilities related to the Integrity and Literacy in the Information Age course. The role reports to the Department Chair or Course Instructor and is paid according to the employee's qualifications, with rates differing for those holding a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree versus those who do not. Requirements
- Broad experience in Computer Science.
- Previous experience in demonstrating laboratories.
- Previous experience in supervising other demonstrators.
- Leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to assign duties to demonstrators.
- Ability to troubleshoot in the laboratory setting.
- Ability to detect potential hazards.
- Ability and skills to rapidly and appropriately deal with problems as they occur.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the seminar/tutorial/lab sections for a particular course.
- Coordinating Teaching Assistants/Lab Demonstrators/Marker-Graders and holding meetings with them.
- Assisting in the preparation of marking schemes and coordinating the marking of course assignments and/or midterm, progress and final exams.
- Performing any other related duties as may be required by the course instructor.
