About The Position
This is a new position for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Advanced Chinese I (CHN3901 Section A) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The course focuses on conversation and composition, with reading and discussion of contemporary texts. It involves intensive practice in conversation and composition. The course is limited to a Regular Part-Time Professor. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The offered rate for this language course is $203.54 (2024-2025), which does not include vacation or statutory pay. These rates are applicable until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid after ratification. The course is scheduled for Tuesdays from 11:30 to 13:00 and Fridays from 13:00 to 14:30. This course will be offered in person.
Requirements
- M.A. in Chinese or equivalent
- Experience in teaching of Advanced Chinese
- Bilingual (French and English)
