About The Position

The Courier picks up and delivers packages of various sizes and weights from customers at multiple locations, completing deliveries safely, courteously, and on time. The role uses the employee’s own vehicle and requires daily equipment checks, careful package handling, and communication through smartphone applications. Most working time is spent in a vehicle or loading and unloading packages. Couriers must drive safely in varied conditions, including adverse weather and traffic, and may not smoke while working or in vehicles. The role is part-time and based in Phoenix, Arizona. Couriers must be available for assigned and on-call shifts, coordinating schedule changes with supervisory personnel. Required work attire includes a uniform shirt, jacket, ID badge, black or navy slacks, and approved footwear. The position’s first-line supervision is provided by dispatchers/customer service, with additional supervision from assigned Quicksilver personnel and managers as needed. The courier must provide a vehicle with a lockable topper on pickup trucks and carry required vehicle insurance with limits of 100/300/50, listing Quicksilver as an additional insured. Two water-based decals and operator license information will be affixed to the vehicle. Quicksilver conducts extensive criminal and driving-history background checks.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be literate and fluent in English and able to read addresses and instructions and complete required paperwork.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record; the description gives conflicting requirements of five and seven years of proven safe driving history.
No more than one minor moving violation within the last three years, and no DUI or careless-driving violation within the last five years.
Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and locate specific addresses.
Must be able to communicate and complete assigned tasks using smartphone applications; training is provided.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds as required, walk, climb stairs, and sit in and move in and out of a vehicle for extended work periods.
Must pass a Department of Transportation physical and/or drug and alcohol screening when required.
Must pass a work simulation screening when required.
Must maintain vehicle insurance with 100/300/50 limits and list Quicksilver as an additional insured.
Must provide a pickup truck with a lockable topper, if using a pickup truck.
Must undergo extensive criminal- and driving-history background checks.
