About The Position

Delaware County Department of Human Services, Office of Children and Youth Services is seeking a motivated and compassionate Casework Supervisor to join their team. Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and support caseworkers who manage ongoing services for families.
  • Shape and maintain the SCOH unit to ensure strong and effective practices.
  • Follow union, agency, and office policies related to personnel and service delivery.
  • Enhance how the unit delivers assistance, guidance, and resources to families.
  • Support staff development to strengthen skills and service quality.
