Step into a meaningful role as a County Casework Manager 1 with Blair County Children, Youth & Families. You will lead and support staff who deliver essential services to children and families. The role emphasizes strong leadership, clear communication, and consistent oversight of casework activities.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in public or private social work which included one year in a public welfare program and one year in a supervisory capacity
  • A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions
  • Pass a background investigation
  • Submit to a drug screening (conditional offer of employment)
  • Submit criminal history reports (conditional offer of employment)

Responsibilities

  • Mentor supervisory and casework staff in skills that support children
  • Review data, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend improvements
  • Hold monthly meetings with providers to discuss services and address issues
  • Perform administrative tasks, attend meetings, and facilitate discussions
  • Address concerns from supervisors, caseworkers, providers, and families
