About The Position

The Counter Sales / Will Call Associate position operates in a fast paced, dynamic, rewarding environment and will assume responsibility for all counter sales and product returns while providing expertise as a member of the customer service team. This role is career-oriented and will focus on both the plumbing and electrical sides of the business. The associate will be responsible for offering exceptional customer service at the counter and over the phone, responding to inquiries, processing incoming calls and orders, and sourcing materials for customers when they are not in stock. The position also involves consistent training and understanding of current products, developing and maintaining positive customer relationships, handling returns, keeping the counter and sales area clean, merchandising and showcasing product, picking and packing orders, and utilizing knowledge of RF guns and the Eclipse system for order entry.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of a RF gun
  • Knowledge of the Eclipse system
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to develop long-term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Impeccable organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Time management & multitasking skills to serve several customers at the same time
  • Strong networking skills, outgoing personality
  • Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
  • Final candidates will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-Secondary courses in Plumbing, Electrical or Heating are considered an asset
  • Knowledge of the Plumbing, Electrical and Heating industry or a background in plumbing products would be considered an asset
  • Preferred sales experience industry
