About The Position

Electrical Wholesalers, an affiliate of U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. (USESI), is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Counter Sales Associate for its Middletown, Connecticut location. The role assists customers through counter, phone, and email interactions; processes sales and inventory transactions; supports order fulfillment and warehouse operations; and helps grow the customer base, counter sales, and profits. The position requires customer service experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, basic math and data-entry abilities, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in warehouse conditions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior customer service experience.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Basic math skills and comfort using web browsers and data-entry tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in warehouse conditions.
Eagerness to learn and thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Electrical product knowledge is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers promptly at the sales counter, by phone, and through email.
Create and manage sales orders, returns (RGAs), and inventory transfers.
Provide quotes, place and process orders, and support walk-in customers.
Maintain a clean and organized counter and warehouse area.
Support order fulfillment, including stock placement, will call preparation, and general warehouse tasks.
Proactively track and follow up on orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
Operate warehouse equipment safely and follow company procedures.
Expand the customer base and grow counter sales and profits.
Perform other duties assigned by the manager.
